Chair Assisted (Seniors)
A Pilates inspired movement class for seniors. Participants exercise independently, seated and standing, using a chair and wall for support, if necessary. Each session aims to promote mobility, flexibility, improved balance and relaxation. Gentle and mindful movement is performed using equipment to create muscular strength, as well as, intentional breathing exercises to stimulate mind and body interrelation. Exercises are given with a few options to make it accessible to different people. Pilates works with you, never against you!
Each session starts with a warming up phase, a main section and a cooling down phase. Occasionally, we stay longer for coffee, cake & chatter.
